Mullet Run

Report Date: October 17, 2022

It took a while but the fall mullet run is here on the Treasure Coast. It seems like the last couple years the fall mullet run began late and has been on the weak side compared to previous years. Jacks, snook, tarpon will be chasing these bait schools down. Fishing seawalls where the mullet are being pinned up can be exciting.
We are just starting to see some redfish in areas that have held them in the past. The stone ran traps are back in the water which can hold some tripletail. However, the black drum bite which we see year round has been way off really for the past 2 years.
Looking forward to see some pompano and Spanish Mackerel which show up in November thru April.
