Huge Tripletail in Town

Been seeing some huge tripletail lately on both morning and afternoon charters. Biggest this year is 25.2 lbs with 8 over 20lbs. Fishing with 12lb mono using mainly shrimp on trollrite jigs these fish can battle you for 20 minutes resulting in a memorable trip. With the recently added stone crab traps, small juveniles under 3 lbs like to hand under the floats. Otherwise we like to target docks, channel markers and any floating debris. We have caught them under floating coconuts in the past. These fish are here all year long. As far as eating, it does not get much better.
