Christmas Report

Report Date: December 18, 2022

The fishing here on the Treasure Coast has really picked up for the redfish, black drum and croaker in the past 6 weeks. Bouncing shrimp along the bottom has been producing both in the Indian and St. Lucie Rivers. Now that snook season is closed, we are focusing on more "meat" trips for those fish fry.
With high seas lately, we have not been able to run along the beach for the hot Spanish Mackerel bite which occurs each year from December thru April. Our mackerel trips require seas around 2 foot fishing right along the beach. I keep the Mac trips to 4 person maximum fishing.
The pompano bite really has not started in Jensen Beach yet. I have seen reports of pompano being caught 40 miles north of us so hopefully they will migrate south soon.
