Pompano Bite

Report Date: January 27, 2016

With a few weekend cold fronts the inshore water has cooled down. Some really nice flounder still in the inlet along with mangrove and cubera snapper to 6 lbs., but the big story is the pompano bite. The inlet and Hells Gate has been best lately bouncing Capt. Joe's pompano jigs along the bottom.

Mackerel are thick just south of the inlet along the beach.
