Fish are Chewin

Report Date: September 24, 2018

The snook and tripletail bite the past few months have been awesome here in the Stuart area. Livebaiting with pilchards and croakers with circle hooks have been producing snook over 40" in the inlet and bridges. By October, the snook will move inland up the St. Lucie and Indian Rivers. With the mullet run starting, things will get pretty exciting.

Strong tripletail bite mainly on the Indian River with fish up to 24.5 lbs ready to enhale shrimp on a jighead. We have caught a whopping 122 tripletail this year which are one of the best eating fish on the planet.

Last week the pompano have arrived just north in Fort Pierce along the surf and should be inshore here real soon.
