Good Mixed Bag of Fish, Pompano Scattered

Report Date: April 12, 2013

Have been spending the majority of my trips lately in the St. Lucie River fishing docks and a few holes. Under the docks, mostly snook, black drum, sheephead and mangrove snapper on live, gulp and doa shrimp. Drifting across dropoffs with trollrites and Joe's Jigs a mixed bag of mackerel, ladyfish, sheephead, ribbonfish and scattered pompano.

The crossroads area are holding ladyfish, bonefish, sheephead and again a few pompano. This pompano season has been the pits.

Area bridges expect to see some croaker, black drum, snook and mangrove snapper. Seems the sheephead are really spread out right now. Have not trout fished lately but heard mixed reviews from a few guides. Getting ready to start my tripletail thing again.
