Another Tripletail Story

Was my pleasure to fish Bob Shaw from Pittsboro, N.C and Dave Replogle from Fort Pierce, Florida. Both guys are hard-core tripletail fanatics. Bob has been following my website reports for years and was stoked to finally get to fish aboard Catch 22.

First fish was actually a spotted sea trout released. A few small snapper and jacks. Then Bob hooks into a nice 13.4lb tripletail and in the cooler it goes. A half hour later running north I spotted a small tt on a crab trap float which Dave landed and released.

Later after some more jacks and snappers, Dave hooks into a stud. After a 15 minute battle making 3 long runs, Dave lands a beautiful 20.8lb tripletail. Great day out there and both guys had a blast which makes me happy. Welcome to the 20lb club.
